1. What is the price for sending a vehicle abroad?

We have not fixed rate bases, our rates vary depending on the place of receipt, the destination port, the volume of your vehicle, the company operating on the requested destination and benefits in addition thatyou ask us.

2. Are your rates negotiable?

Our prices are fixed and non-negotiable. They are subject to a validity date that is mentioned on each of our estimate.

 

3. Do you make payment facilities?

No, the payment is made once and before leaving the vehicle.

 

4. Do you accept payment by check?

We do not accept checks, we take essentially transfers. Cash is accepted under certain conditions.

We serve only port cities, ground transportation to destination is not guaranteed by us. We can deliver your car in the nearest port to the final destination of the vehicle.

8. Do you make transport to other European countries?

No, we only organize departures from France. The only exception is for the port of Antwerp, where you can bring your car there. Outside the port of Antwerp, you must bring your vehicle in France on one of the ports of departure chosen or receiving platform.

 

9. Are there any restrictions on countries concerning the sending of vehicle?

Each country has its own restrictions. It is important to prepare your shipment, to ask about that.

On our site you can find a non-exhaustive list of the various restrictions to our knowledge, so we can give you as much information about it, however we strongly advise you to inquire on your side with the country in which you intend to send your vehicle.

 

10. Do you transport something other than cars?

Yes, we do all kinds of vehicles, trucks, trailers, implements or agricultural machinery, and we make abnormal loads according to their feasibility.

13. My car broke down, can I send it?

It is forbidden to send a disabled vehicle or a wreck. The companies refuse to vehicles that can’t roll or are severely damaged. Some countries also refuse to approve vehicles with these characteristics.

 

14. Can I travel with my car?

18. Do you take care of checking in?

Logtrans provides a benefit to the embarkation port of departure, in other words, our service stops when the vehicle embarks on the ship.

Our team can of course give you a tracking of the ship's path containing your vehicle, but check in at your initiative. We advise you to contact a local service provider for the reception of your vehicle to.

 

19. Does your vehicle service also applies to companies?

20. What happens during an expedition?

An appointment date will be given to respect. If you yourself have the vehicle dock, we will ask you to go to the nearest office to file the required documents. If you bring the vehicle in one of our reception platforms, we also will recover these documents and the vehicle we keep waiting for his departure.

Once the documents obtained, our team will take care to ensure customs formalities and submit your dock vehicle (except in the case where you do it yourself).

Once the vehicle dock is handed over to the company, she will take care of loading onto the ship.

Our team will prevent you about the departure of the boat and will give you informations about the date of arrival.

Our work and our responsibility stops at the loading of the vehicle in the departure of the ship in port.

 

21. Is an insurance mandatory?

It is not mandatory to take insurance, however it is an option that we recommend in case of damage. The insurance allows you to be covered if your vehicle is involved in an accident during transport. (Loading problem, damage to the ship ... etc.)

Insurance is taken by us on your request for it, simply tell us the value of your vehicle so we can give you the price of it.


22. What are the required documents to provide to you?

The documents we need are listed on our website at this page. We also give you this list when sending a response to your quote request.

 

23. Do I have to bring my car to the port?

No, we have several reception platforms across the country. Just bring your vehicle to the nearest platform.

We will take the delivery of your vehicle, issue a finding of receipt and you will sign the required documents. The routing to the destination port will be done by us.

 

24. When should I bring my car?

The date of receipt of the vehicle will be given by the caller in charge of your shipment, you will have a leeway of a few days to respect. If you bring your vehicle too early you risk a parking fee and if you bring it too late, you may miss the boat because of the paperwork that require several days.

If you take your car on a receiving platform, the caller will also give you a date to respect.

 

25. How many cars can you put in a container?

We can put one car by 20-foot container, and 2 by 40-foot containers. Be careful, your or your vehicles must meet the minimum dimensions.


A container measuring 20 feet inside: 5.90m long, 2.35m wide and 2.40m tall.
A container measuring 40 feet inside: 12.03M length, 2.35m wide and 2.39m high.
